After suffering heartbreak and being embarrassed in the past two years, South African musician Bulelwa ‘Zahara’ Mkutukana is now a renewed person. 
 
The award-winning muso says she feels in a good space after saving her house and also reveals her future plans to remain a celebrated musician. 
 
Born in the Eastern Cape, Zahara says she is now focusing on herself and ensuring that she remains happy as a human being. 
 
The Loliwe hitmaker lost her sister, Nomonde, in 2021 through a car accident before a burglary into her house this year saw her losing some of her trophies from the South African Music Awards. 
 
“I feel so renewed. I am in a good space. I’ve cut a lot of toxic energies and people who are not good for me,” she told Drum Magazine.  
 
“There were people who are constantly taking and taking. Right now, I am in a good place, and I am focusing on myself and my happiness.” 
 
The talented singer also says she is grateful to the fans and South Africans who helped donate money to save her house from repossession. 
 
“I am grateful to everyone who prayed for me and who contributed towards me saving my home,” she added. 
 
“I know some people wanted to help but did not have the money, but they prayed for me. Even those who do not like me, some put me in their prayers. Their families prayed for me. I even had children wishing me well.” 
 
Zahara also revealed her future plans, saying that there is a reality television programme that is planned but didn’t reval much details. 
 
“We are in the final planning stages of the reality show and we will start shooting next week,” she revealed. 
 
“I have had many people approach me for a reality show and I believe it’s time I tell my story, my way and I let people into my home and into my life.”
