Meet Legaah: Zambian version of Tupac with all the resemblance and tattoos!

Tupac was born June 16, 1971 and his life constitutes one the most influential, prolific outputs in hip hop history. On September 7, 1996, he was shot in Las Vegas while leaving a Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Hotel. He died six days later on Sept. 13, as says the official record.

But no one ever believes the official record when it comes to Tupac. Many continue to believe Tupac Shakur lives, thanks to a suspiciously large amount of music released after his death. That and people keep spotting Tupac in public.

Speaking of which, our radars in Zambia picked up on another Tupac lookalike – LEGAAH aka Zed Tupac II.

Leigh may not be the United States (US) rapper Tupac Shakur, but there is certainly something about him.

Legaah, who was born Fred Thole on June 7, which came some nine days before Tupac’s birthday on June 16. The two thus share the same Horoscope, Gemini, so no wonder the resemblance.

But the resemblance just doesn’t end there, Leegah wears a bandana the same way Shakur wore it, and has that ‘Thug Life’ tattoo on his stomach.

Born and bred in Ndola before relocating to Lusaka where he attended Matero Kasamba and Woodlands primary schools, Legaah’ss early music stints, he said, was inspired by the music of Exile (Israel) and Master Flo.

He also had a soft spot for the music of Shimasta, C.R.I.$.I.$ and the likes of Lily T and Danny Kaya at the height of Mondo Music Corporation.

After leaving school in 2002, with drama being his preferred passion, the soft-spoken rapper took with him the inspiration he drew from the likes of Augustine Lungu, Danny Sauzande Kanengoki, Chanda “Maximo” Mwale and Kapotwe.

For most of his spare time, Legaah was involved in community-motivated sketches on issues affecting most societies with the backing of roving Sugar Shacks Disco Sounds.
