Lungisani Ndlela who was once a famous Bafana Bafana, Moroka Swallows, SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns striker, is now a prison warder at Witbank in Mpumalanga.

Who on earth thought that a famous talented soccer star like Ndlela could one day be guarding prisoners, I guess it’s true when they say Life is unpredictable.

However his friends are so proud of Lungisani for pulling up the courage to take up correctional services studies after he vanished from the limelight.

A friend said: “Lungi has done well for himself. At least he’s got an income, unlike other former soccer stars who prefer to live on handouts.”

“Lungi is popular in prison as people still recognise him. He’s jolly but takes his job seriously,” another friend added.

A third friend said: “He walks tall, unlike his peers who are struggling.”

Unlike other famous celebrities who go down without a fight, Lungisani realised the ship was sinking and he refused to go down with it, E-SA is so proud of Lungi…
