Celebrities such as Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Rowland have worn the MaXhosa label, and the brand achieved notable recognition when it dressed the star-studded cast of Coming 2 America a few years ago. The fashion brand, which has earned multiple awards, has also graced the pages of renowned fashion magazines, including British Vogue.
Recently, former First Lady Michelle Obama was spotted wearing one of MaXhosa’s designs during her visit to South Africa in support of empowering women and girls. Despite the serious nature of her mission, Michelle Obama showcased her impeccable style in a multi-colored pleated dress by MaXhosa.
Given that a substantial portion of their international clientele is based in the United States, MaXhosa has decided to open a store in New York. Laduma Ngxokolo announced that the store is set to officially open its doors in February 2024, located in the lower part of the Soho district.
