Kelly Rowland has been hit by the lovely quarantine pregnancy. She announced on her Women’s Health cover story that she’s expecting her second child with husband Tim Weatherspoon.
The 39-year-old TV personality said they decided to expand the family with her bae. “We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens.” – she said.
Kelly and Tim are already parents to 5-year-old son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon. The former Destiny’s Child singer was surprised as she got pregnant almost immediately, but she was hesitant to share the news due to the pandemic and various social justice movements.
“But you still want to remind people that life is important,” Rowland said. “And being able to have a child … I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.” On the cover of the magazine, Rowland shows off her baby bump in a two-piece swimsuit.
If anyone is wondering if she’s going to deliver a baby or a new album, Kelly promised she won’t disappoint. “I was thinking, oh my god, my fans are gonna be so disappointed.…They wanted an album first, but they got a baby!” she said. “And I was like, ‘I have to figure this out, so they get both.”
