Twitter has dragged out and labelled Tbo Touch a ‘’sell-out’’ after his latest deal with MTN which some saw as a spit to the #DataMustFall campaign he initiated in September last year.
The deal, will allow subscribers to stream Touch Central for free between 18:00 and 20:00 on weekdays.
MTN said that data used by the Touch Central app would be zero-rated as part of its #MyNightShift campaign.
“All Networks have 30 days to make a change! We will all move our subscriptions to the network that cares about its customers #datamustfall,” Molefe said on Twitter.
Soon after Tbo Touch announced his deal with MTN‚ fans started labelling the radio personality a ‘sell-out’ of the movement.
Time went past without any updates from mobile networks‚ until recently when Touch announced that MTN had joined the “low data movement“. The mobile network supposedly launched new data packages of 1gig for R65‚ 2gig for R99 and unlimited calls.
