Safety in South Africa continues to be a huge problem for local celebrities and the rest of the nation. Just recently, Mzansi lost one of its talented stars Dumi Masilela during a hijacking ordeal that went wrong. As if that is not enough to raise eyebrows, Brixton police earlier found local R&B sensation Vusi Nova traumatized in Johannesburg after being kidnapped during a hijacking that occurred on Friday morning.
Vusi Nova’s label had earlier in the morning announced that Ndikuthandile hitmaker had been kidnapped by hijackers outside his home, and appealed for help in finding the star.
Stehr said Nova had just finished performing at a concert with Ntando on Thursday night when he and another singer from the group 047 were hijacked in Melville. The 047 singer was dropped in Riverlea, Johannesburg, and reported the matter to Brixton police.
Police confirmed to Vusi’s manager that the star had been found alive just moments after their appeal to the public for information about his whereabouts.
We are just glad that Vusi Nova is alive and well, we don’t think South Africa is yet ready to mourn another star’s death.
