Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have revealed that their “miracle baby” has died.

On Saturday, the couple released a joint message on Instagram, confirming that they had miscarried their first child just one month after announcing their pregnancy.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.” the 40-year-old singer wrote in a joint Instagram post with Sam Asghari.

On April 11, Spears revealed her pregnancy via Instagram, writing: “So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby.”

In a post on Instagram on Saturday, Spears and Asghari added that they “will continue trying to expand our beautiful family… We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
