Babes Wodumo lays charges against Tha Simelane over drug abuse allegations!

The drama between Tha Simelane and Babes Wodumo seems to be far from over after the socialite’s damming allegations against the Wololo hitmaker.

The TV personality and brand ambassador held an emotional Instagram Live interview with Babes that ended with both of them in tears however when the interview ended Tha alleged that Babes was using cocaine during the live video that went viral.

Tha Simelane has since apologized to Babes for the damming allegations he levelled against the musician and according to him, Babes accepted his apology. He told the Daily Sun that he reached out to Babes via text message and apologized which she accepted, he also spoke to her boyfriend Mampintsha and they seemed to understand his actions were a “mistake”.

It does not seem like Babes understood that this was a “mistake” as she has opened up a criminal case against Tha and has also instructed her lawyers to slap him with a lawsuit of his low-blow comment against the singer and dancer as it was a defamation of her character.

According to Sunday Sun, Babes’ lawyer Ayanda Mngadi of Ayanda Shazi & Associates confirmed that her client has instructed them to file the legal action.

“Yes, I can confirm we’ve received instructions from our client to take action. It’s a civil case of defamation,” Ayanda told the publication.

After the allegations went viral Babes’ team denied the allegations and speaking to Sunday Sun, Babes explained why she decided to take the legal route.

“That hurtful statement was damaging to my brand and my entire family was left broken, so we decided with my manager to take action against Tha,” said Babes.

The Kwa MaMkhize reality star, however, doesn’t see a need to escalate the drama as he had apologised already for his “slip of the tongue” and takes “responsibility” for what he said.”

A case of defamation has been opened at Westville police station and KwaZulu Natal police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele confirmed no arrested have been made yet and investigations are underway according to.
