Move along Cassper Nyovest, the countdown for the much-anticipated The Gathering of Worshippers has begun in earnest. In 10 days counting from today, gospel sensation Dr Tumi is set to fill the 20 000 capacity Ticketpro Dome in the north of Johannesburg for one night of magical worship and praise.
The Gathering of Worshippers will see Dr Tumi channel the spirit of praise into his followers through his new material as well as record his Live DVD.
“The preparations are going very well. The excitement has reached fever pitch. My team and I cannot wait to lay out the buffet on August 20. It is going to be a memorable night and I urge those who haven’t bought their tickets to do so soon because we are filling up the Dome in no time,” Dr Tumi enthused.
Dr Tumi’s two albums Love & Grace and Heart of a King have turned him into a household name. He is a trained medical doctor slash turned gospel singer and a recipient of Crown Gospel Awards and Metro FM Music Awards and a SA Music Awards nominee.
In just 12 months, Dr has refurnished his accolade stand with 13 new awards, making him one of the most exciting and most watched talents.
He recently signed an international deal with Universal Music, which will see his music released in many territories around the world.
Tickets to the show are sold at Ticketpro, Edgars, CNA and Jet between R180 and R500
