    “Made by Africans, Watched by the World”: Netflix celebrates African stars

    Netflix South Africa has launched its latest campaign which pays tribute to all the African stars who have been a part of their recent series. The powerful video shows each creator sharing an inspiring message about be represented as an African on the global platform, whilst strutting their stuff in traditional African attire.

    The video includes; Pearl Thusi, Ama Qamata, Chi Mendes, Bontle Modiselle and many more. A number of the stars took to their personal Instagram pages to share visuals from the Netflix shoot, captioning it with messages of gratitude to their audiences. Pearl Thusi made a special mention to Blood and Water’s Ama Qamada and The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind’s Owino Maxwell Simba stating, “I love these two talented young artists so much! South Africa and Kenya stand up!! Ama Qamada and Owino Maxwell Simba are proof that the future of African arts is in safe hands!”.
