Mzansi’s power couple Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung and Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo (Somhale) are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today.
Time has truly flown due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it has been a year since Somhale tied the knot at their traditional wedding. On 28 September 2019, lovebirds tied the knot in a glamorous traditional wedding held in Kiebler Park Johannesburg.
Their prestigious wedding was attended by the who’s who of Mzansi’s showbiz including the likes of Bonang Matheba and Pearl Thusi. The couple broke the record of being SA’s first gay celebrity couple to have a wedding special on Showmax.
The couple took to their Instagram accounts to share their celebration. Somizi wrote: “Happy one-year wedding anniversary to us…please help me convince my husband that we go on live this evening to share what the first year of marriage feels like and us like… I feel like there’s a lot of things that we are not told about by newly-weds that could be helpful to anyone who is about to get married… but whatever it is that we have experienced got us to where we are today… I love u MOTAUNG MHLONGO.”
