Sunday World has revealed that former Generations star has landed herself a crime detective role in a new TV serious titled; The Alliance, on e.tv.

Sonia seems to be courting this channel more she just recently wrapped up the role of a con-artist who goes by the name of Thuli, on the channel’s Gold Diggers.

According to e.tv The Alliance is a fast-paced eight episode drama series which conveys a life in Soweto surrounding a popular power-hungry crime lord, Bra Jay, also known as the Reserve Bank Governor of the Township. Sonia’s character, Lydia, is a detective who is part of a unit on a mission to bring down Bra Jay’s dynasty.

The message behind this action drama is that crime does not pay. You can catch the first episode of The Alliance on Wednesday evenings for the 27 April at 21:30.
