Man Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester discover potential Europa League opponents

Four Premier League clubs are into the Europa League knockout stages with Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester City progressing from their groups and Man Utd dropping out of the Champions League

The Europa League is heading into the knockout stages – and there is plenty of Premier League interest.

Manchester United’s Champions League elimination sees them drop into the competition to join Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester City ahead of the round of 32.

All four Premier League teams will avoid each other at this stage having finished top of their groups.

They are amongst the 16 seeded teams, along with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers, who secured their spot at the top of Group D with victory over Lech Poznan.

That means they will not be able to face any of the other group winners – including Napoli, AC Milan and Roma – or Ajax, who were eliminated from the Champions League.
