Orlando Pirates have unveiled their new package forward of the approaching season. The new Adidas kit is harking back to the white colourway with black striping that was once won by means of the membership on their method to the Caf Champions League name in 1995 and the Super Cup within the following 12 months.
The club will retain their purple colour within the away shirt. The new package will be seen on the pitch for the primary time when Pirates face Kaizer Chiefs in the pre-season Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday.
“You can never truly move forward if you don’t know where you’ve been‚ and in order for us to unlock the potential of a successful future we need to draw inspiration from our past successes‚ because it’s in those learnings from the past which guide our next steps‚” said Tokoloho Moeketsi‚ the Pirates Brand Activation Manager‚ in a statement.
“We take note iconic avid gamers who sported this glance and made their indelible mark in this nice Club‚ setting the tone for what we went on to achieve since 1995.
“It’s with that very inspiration that we glance to the class of 2019/2020‚ and hope that once they don this recent look‚ they may be able to draw from those icons and depart their own mark which will remain long after they’re long past.” The new kit can be in stores in the coming days at a retail value of R799.
