Watch: Fans accuse Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates of using muti on the field

Following the circulation of suspicious videos on social media, Mama Joy and other soccer fans have accused Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates of using muti, or traditional medicine, on the field.

As a supporter of Royal AM, Mama Joy expressed her concerns on her X account. The allegations arose after a video surfaced showing two Kaizer Chiefs officials approaching a goalpost during a match at the Harry Gwala Stadium. In the video, one of the officials appears to sprinkle something on the goalpost.

After the DSTV Premiership game between Chiefs and Royal AM ended in a 0-0 draw, Mama Joy tweeted the video, questioning whether muti was being used. The match was played in front of a national audience.

Similarly, Orlando Pirates faced Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. Following this match, DJ Naves, a Sundowns fan, tweeted a video of Orlando Pirates players around a goalpost, expressing concern about the substance being used.

The tweets sparked debate among fans, with some believing that the alleged use of muti could have affected the outcomes of the games.
